The SolarFlash Slate Refit Kit is designed to be used on slate roofs with both natural and man-made slate tiles and should be used on slate roof retrofit installations. The SolarFlash system is a simple and effective waterproof solution to refitting roofing slates or tiles around a roof bracket when installing solar photovoltaic panels.

SolarFlash is very easy to install and leaves the roof with a clean, reliable and weatherproof finish, without any additional expert knowledge or training. SolarFlash is in use all over the UK by solar installers, housing associations, roofers and developers, as well as in a growing number of countries.

This refit kit comes with metal components that allow you to replace the final course of slates when the nail holes are not accessible. The Hallhook only works on hip holed slates and head laps not less than 75mm and not greater than 100mm.

What you need to know

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • Genius Roof Solutions products are dispatched by Royal Mail or Fedex and generally no more than 10Kg per box/small parcel.  Max box size is 380mm x 380mm x 380mm.  
  • Please advise of any delivery requirements or access issues when placing the order.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email and your order will be delivered directly to you from Genius Roof Solutions/Royal Mail/Fedex.
  • Delivery will arrive between 8am and 6pm.
  • If the customer is not there to accept the delivery, it is important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the package or the delivery will fail.

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery unless Royal Mail or Fedex are able to fit the order through the letter box.
  • If you cannot be present, it is important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the parcel or the delivery will fail.  
  • Royal Mail and Fedex should leave a card if the customer is out to arrange a re-delivery or the customer can collect direct from the depot.  However, if Genius Roof Solutions incur extra costs from couriers due to extra delivery attempts, these costs will be forwarded onto the customer.

Damages and missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to Roof Giant within 48 hours with all details so we are able to rectify the issue.
  • All damages must be photographed and emailed to sales@roofgiant.com along with customer order number and a brief description of the issue.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer next day delivery?

If a product is available with next day delivery, this will be displayed on the product page or in the basket. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery is possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer free delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Some suppliers/couriers will deliver to these areas but not all, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com during office hours for confirmation. If we are able to deliver the product you require, additional transport costs will apply, we will be able to confirm this to you. These additional costs are based on the manufacturer, distributor or courier providing the shipping on our behalf.

Do you deliver to Republic of Ireland, Europe and Rest of World? 

No, unfortunately we nor our suppliers can deliver outside of Great Britain (and Northern Ireland in some instances).

Returns Policy

We recommend you take photos of the goods and packaging before returning, as this may be required for courier claims.

Your Right to Cancel

  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order (or the final part of a split delivery).
  • You must notify us by phone or email first.
  • Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and suitable for resale.

Returns After 14 Days

  • Returns may be accepted up to 30 days but may be subject to a restocking fee.

Refunds & Costs

  • We refund the product price plus standard delivery. Premium delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of returned goods being received (or proof of posting).
  • You are responsible for return shipping unless we arrange collection, in which case the direct cost will be charged.

Exclusions & Brand Policies

  • Some products and brands have specific return rules (e.g. VELUX, Castle Composites, Midland Lead).
  • Made-to-order items, bagged/powder/plaster products, and sale items are non-returnable unless faulty.
