The BASF Styrodur 2800 C XPS Multi-Use Thermal Insulation Board is a robust, multipurpose, safe, easy to use and energy efficient choice that's suitable for a wide range of applications. Ideal for floor insulation, basement insulation, thermal bridge insulation, plaster base and composite material, pitched roof insulation and more.

Styrodur 2800 C XPS Thermal Insulation is made from rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) and has an embossed honeycomb surface pattern on both sides and smooth edges for covering with concrete, plaster or other materials. A simple, affordable and effective way to prevent heat loss and cold floors in ceiling applications and ideal for interior insulation jobs where a building can’t be insulated on the outside, for example because it has a heritage-protected facade.

A long-lasting, proven, premium quality product that has been rigorously tested and quality-checked - including creep tests, water absorption tests and freeze-thaw tests - to ensure that Styrodur always meets your high demands and expectations.

Primary application recommendations: Floor insulation, basement insulation, thermal bridge insulation, plaster base and composite material, permanent formwork, interior insulation, pitched roof insulation.

What you need to know

Delivery Charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery Access

  • Foamtech Styrodur insulation packs will be delivered on foam bearers on vehicles as large as an articulated lorry.
  • You will need people/machinery onsite to offload the insulation so please make the necessary arrangements. Please note: THE DRIVER IS NOT PERMITTED TO ASSIST WITH THE OFFLOAD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions (narrow roads etc.) or delivery may fail, and you will be liable for any re-delivery charges. Smaller vehicles can be arranged as a special requirement, but further charges could apply.

Date and time of Delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email or phone and your order will be delivered directly to you from Foamtech.
  • Delivery will arrive between 0900 – 1700. You can call our supplier’s transport team on 01675 467725 quoting your Roof Giant order reference on the day of delivery to request an ETA or update on delivery progress.

Failed deliveries are chargeable.

  • You must be present to accept the delivery.
  • If you cannot be present on the date confirmed, please call Roof Giant to re-arrange at least 24 hours prior to the confirmed delivery. If product is already out for delivery you will be liable for re-delivery charges.
  • Roof Giant will confirm any re-delivery charges as it will be dependant on size of order and location.

Damages & missing items

  • All damages / items missing should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged / missing.
  • Please also ensure you contact Roofgiant within 24-48 hours with all details to enable us to resolve the issue. Failure to contact us in this time frame could mean we are unable to assist.
  • Any damages must be photographed on the foam bearers as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.
  • We will not accept any claims that have photos of goods not on the foam bearers as delivered as we cannot prove to the transporter that the damage was caused during transit

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g., if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer next day delivery?

If a product is available with next day delivery, this will be displayed on the product page or in the basket. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery is possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer free delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Some suppliers/couriers will deliver to these areas but not all, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com during office hours for confirmation. If we are able to deliver the product you require, additional transport costs will apply, we will be able to confirm this to you. These additional costs are based on the manufacturer, distributor or courier providing the shipping on our behalf.

Do you deliver to Republic of Ireland, Europe and Rest of World? 

No, unfortunately we nor our suppliers can deliver outside of Great Britain (and Northern Ireland in some instances).

Returns Policy

We recommend you take photos of the goods and packaging before returning, as this may be required for courier claims.

Your Right to Cancel

  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order (or the final part of a split delivery).
  • You must notify us by phone or email first.
  • Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and suitable for resale.

Returns After 14 Days

  • Returns may be accepted up to 30 days but may be subject to a restocking fee.

Refunds & Costs

  • We refund the product price plus standard delivery. Premium delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of returned goods being received (or proof of posting).
  • You are responsible for return shipping unless we arrange collection, in which case the direct cost will be charged.

Exclusions & Brand Policies

  • Some products and brands have specific return rules (e.g. VELUX, Castle Composites, Midland Lead).
  • Made-to-order items, bagged/powder/plaster products, and sale items are non-returnable unless faulty.
