This GRP Resin Roof Repair Kit is an efficient solution to revive and reinforce your fibreglass roof without the hassle of replacement.

This GRP Resin Roof Repair Kit provides three user-friendly products tailored for fibreglass re-coating and repairing. Whether you're dealing with minor cracks, holes, or seeking a complete roof restoration, this kit is your all-in-one solution.

  • Iron Grey isophthalic top-coat is specifically formulated for repairing GRP Roofs
  • For flat or sloping roofing applications, the topcoat ensures high-quality waterproofing
  • Designed for easy roller application, showcasing excellent levelling characteristics and sag resistance on inclined surfaces
  • Once cured, the top-coat is tack-free, watertight, and boasts outstanding water and weather resistance
  • Topcoat coverage: Available in 5kg containers with a coverage of 0.6kg per m2 (container covers 8.3m2)
  • Matting coverage:4.4m2
  • GRP Topcoat Alone Coverage: (0.6kg per m2 coverage container - 8.3m2)

Application

 Apply the top-coat away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Incorporate a maximum of 2% ResiRoof Catalyst by volume (e.g., 20ml per kg) through a thorough hand mix, avoiding mechanical mixing. Use a short pile roller to apply approximately 0.6kg per m2 to the main roof areas, while edges and corners can be addressed using a brush.

For optimal performance, apply the top-coat out of direct sunlight to a dry, dust-free surface, building up to a film thickness of 500 - 600 microns to achieve the desired characteristics in the finished structure.

Summer Conditions

During the warmer summer months, it is recommended to use 1% hardener instead of the usual 2%. This adjustment will ensure optimal performance in warmer temperatures.

It is also suggested you avoid direct sunlight during the application process. To achieve the best results, initiate the lamination process in the early parts of the day, before the hottest period between 12-2pm. This timing will help mitigate any potential issues caused by excessive heat.

Topcoat should not be applied in direct sunlight. The wax solution in the topcoat may burn off before reaching the surface during the curing process, potentially resulting in a tacky roof surface.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

Do you offer next day delivery?

If a product is available with next day delivery, this will be displayed on the product page or in the basket. Do you offer free delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Some suppliers/couriers will deliver to these areas but not all, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com during office hours for confirmation. If we are able to deliver the product you require, additional transport costs will apply, we will be able to confirm this to you. These additional costs are based on the manufacturer, distributor or courier providing the shipping on our behalf.

Do you deliver to Republic of Ireland, Europe and Rest of World? 

No, unfortunately we nor our suppliers can deliver outside of Great Britain (and Northern Ireland in some instances).

We recommend you take photos of the goods and packaging before returning, as this may be required for courier claims.

Your Right to Cancel

  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order (or the final part of a split delivery).
  • You must notify us by phone or email first.
  • Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and suitable for resale.

Returns After 14 Days

  • Returns may be accepted up to 30 days but may be subject to a restocking fee.

Refunds & Costs

  • We refund the product price plus standard delivery. Premium delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of returned goods being received (or proof of posting).
  • You are responsible for return shipping unless we arrange collection, in which case the direct cost will be charged.

Exclusions & Brand Policies

  • Some products and brands have specific return rules (e.g. VELUX, Castle Composites, Midland Lead).
  • Made-to-order items, bagged/powder/plaster products, and sale items are non-returnable unless faulty.
