The Proctor Façadeshield UV-Stabilised Breather Membrane is a robust, air tight yet vapour permeable, anti-glare breather with exceptional UV resistance in facades and cladding. Designed to ensure the building fabric maintains good water resistance and breathability, Façadeshield UV improves the airtightness of a building while reducing the risk of condensation due to its high vapour permeable yet airtight properties.

This research-led non-woven breathable membrane combines exceptional water resistance and UV resistance with an aesthetically pleasing dark colour to provide a “shadow” appearance within open rainscreen façades. It also comes with the reassurance of a CE Mark showing the product’s fitness for purpose in the façade application, making it the perfect choice behind open jointed cladding.

Applications: Fix to the supporting construction mechanically with staples or similar. Façadeshield UV must be laid vertically from top to bottom or horizontally with a minimum overlap of 100mm. Use Façadeshield tape when joining together lengths of Façadeshield UV or for other joints where an airtight seal is required. The membrane must be free from dust and grease and the substrates must be dry and stable. Apply pressure by hand or roller to ensure a good bond.

To protect the membrane from mechanical damage, the joint openings in the façade covering have to be less than 30% of the area, and maximum 30mm wide. The adhesive used does not contain resins or other additives which could cause the adhesive film to become brittle and therefore this product is extremely resistant to ageing. Battens / back ventilation must be provided between the Façadeshield UV and the external façade covering.

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • A. Proctor Group products are either delivered on pallets on either an 18-ton rigid vehicle or an articulated vehicle dependant on access at delivery location. All loose parcel sized items will be made on 3.5 tonne vans. 
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email and your order will be delivered directly to you from A. Proctor Group Ltd. 
  • Delivery will arrive between 8.00am–5pm Monday to Friday. It is important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail. 

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept and sign for the delivery.
  • If it fails delivery will automatically be put down for re-delivery the following working day. Re-delivery is charged. 
  • If you cannot be present it is important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail but someone must be in attendance to sign for the delivery (including a neighbour). 

Damages & missing items

  • All damages or missing items should be reported within 24 hours of accepting delivery. If damage is noticeable on arrival, it must either be refused or marked on the POD as damaged. 
  • Contact Roof Giant within 24 hours with all details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help.
  • Any damages must be photographed as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer next day delivery?

If a product is available with next day delivery, this will be displayed on the product page or in the basket. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery is possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer free delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Some suppliers/couriers will deliver to these areas but not all, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com during office hours for confirmation. If we are able to deliver the product you require, additional transport costs will apply, we will be able to confirm this to you. These additional costs are based on the manufacturer, distributor or courier providing the shipping on our behalf.

Do you deliver to Republic of Ireland, Europe and Rest of World? 

No, unfortunately we nor our suppliers can deliver outside of Great Britain (and Northern Ireland in some instances).

We recommend you take photos of the goods and packaging before returning, as this may be required for courier claims.

Your Right to Cancel

  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order (or the final part of a split delivery).
  • You must notify us by phone or email first.
  • Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and suitable for resale.

Returns After 14 Days

  • Returns may be accepted up to 30 days but may be subject to a restocking fee.

Refunds & Costs

  • We refund the product price plus standard delivery. Premium delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of returned goods being received (or proof of posting).
  • You are responsible for return shipping unless we arrange collection, in which case the direct cost will be charged.

Exclusions & Brand Policies

  • Some products and brands have specific return rules (e.g. VELUX, Castle Composites, Midland Lead).
  • Made-to-order items, bagged/powder/plaster products, and sale items are non-returnable unless faulty.
