Cedral Rivendale Fibre Cement Slate Roof Tiles are the strongest slates on the market, blending the modern benefits of slate technology with the rich texture and visual beauty of natural slates. Incredibly strong yet lightweight, these fully recyclable fibre cement roof slates feature an appealing riven surface texture and dressed edge. They suit both modern and traditional roof and facade projects where a natural look is desired or sustainability is of high priority.

Hi, could you tell me how many tiles I would require for a 4x3.5 meter roof please
See the product data sheet on the technical info tab for details on application
Can you paint these tiles?
We would not recommend adorning any paint or substance onto this product.
Can these tiles be used on a vertical surface. i.e vertical dormer sides.
These tiles are classed as a roofing product with regards British and EU fire certification standards and therefore have not been fire tested for vertical cladding applications when applying for local building control certification. The maximum pitch for Test 4 is 70 degrees and under. We cannot, therefore, recommend that our tiles are used as a vertical fixing (Cladding) that requires Test 1 certification. However, we advise your client to speak to their local building control office to ask the question of what they would expect to have fitted to make these compliant, in certain circumstances a simple fire wall under the tiles will suffice. If building control certification is not being requested, and the product is being fixed as a “decorative finish” where fire certification is not required, then these can be used vertically – please note that the product will stand up to wind-driven rain penetration and protect any under surfaces more than adequately. We just have to point out the restrictions on fire testing standards for roofing and cladding are now different in the UK market due to the changes made after the Grenfell tragedy.
