The GRP Fibreglass Waterproof Roofing Topcoat creates an excellent watertight, weather resistant, maintenance-free surface that’s ideal for use on flat or sloping roofing applications that require high-quality waterproofing.
This Dark Grey isophthalic top-coat is designed for roller applications, offering sufficient levelling characteristics and sag resistance on inclined surfaces. It’s suitable for use alongside the GRP fibreglass matting/resin system and will leave you with a tack-free finish when cured.
Coverage:
Preparation: Ensure your fibreglass surface is sanded with 40-grade sandpaper, wiped clean with acetone and is dust free and completely dry.
Application: Apply out of direct sunlight and the heat of any given day. Add a maximum of 2% ResiRoof Catalyst by volume, for example: 20ml per kg. Ensure a good hand mix, avoiding mechanical mixing. Apply approximately 0.6kg per m2 using a short pile roller to the main roof areas. Edges and corners can be applied using a brush.
For optimum performance, the top-coat should be applied out of direct sunlight to a dry, dust-free surface and built up to film thickness of 500 - 600 microns to achieve the desired characteristics in the finished structure.

Summer Conditions
During the warmer summer months, it is recommended to use 1% hardener instead of the usual 2%. This adjustment will ensure optimal performance in warmer temperatures.
It is also suggested you avoid direct sunlight during the application process. To achieve the best results, initiate the lamination process in the early parts of the day, before the hottest period between 12-2pm. This timing will help mitigate any potential issues caused by excessive heat.
Topcoat should not be applied in direct sunlight. The wax solution in the topcoat may burn off before reaching the surface during the curing process, potentially resulting in a tacky roof surface.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

Do you offer next day delivery?
If a product is available with next day delivery, this will be displayed on the product page or in the basket. Do you offer free delivery if I spend a substantial amount?
Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?
Some suppliers/couriers will deliver to these areas but not all, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com during office hours for confirmation. If we are able to deliver the product you require, additional transport costs will apply, we will be able to confirm this to you. These additional costs are based on the manufacturer, distributor or courier providing the shipping on our behalf.
Do you deliver to Republic of Ireland, Europe and Rest of World?
No, unfortunately we nor our suppliers can deliver outside of Great Britain (and Northern Ireland in some instances).
