RETURNS: If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance, contact us via phone 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com advising us of your wish to change your mind. To receive a refund it’s your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to the point of distribution.

Upon inspection any goods that are not fit for re-stocking will be deducted from the refund

Any concrete coping stones returned that are not in a good enough condition for restocking but are good enough to be sold as seconds quality will be refunded at 25% of the original cost. Please note this is at the discretion of Castle Composites not Roof Giant.

The packaging for orders being returned should be the same as when they arrived otherwise damage in transit is very likely.

Roof Giant strongly recommend you take photographs of goods before returning. Occasionally goods are damaged during transit, therefore you may need to confirm the packaging/goods were intact (prior to collection) to the courier as part of the refund process.

What you need to know

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • Castle Composites coping stones are delivered on pallets with an 18 ton vehicle with tail lift. They are offloaded by the driver with a pump truck to the kerb, so we cannot deliver on gravel or mud. If you have a gravel drive the driver will only be able to leave goods at the closest hard surfaced area.
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions.
  • You must make our sales office aware of these restrictions or the delivery may fail. Smaller vehicles (7.5 ton) can be arranged as a special requirement please be aware this can cause delays as there are far fewer available and further charges may apply.
  • If you have a grass or gravel drive it will not be possible to leave the goods without someone being in attendance.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email, and your order will be delivered directly to you from Castle Composites. The driver will call ahead on the agreed delivery date if a mobile number has been provided however this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Delivery will arrive between 8.30am–5pm if you can’t be there to accept the delivery, it’s important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail. If the delivery is required at a certain time of the day an additional fee will apply.

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery. A re-delivery charge of £59 + VAT per pallet will apply, chargeable by the supplier Castle Composites.
  • If you cannot be present it’s important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail.
  • If you have a gravel drive it will not be possible to leave the goods without someone being in attendance.

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • Contact Roof Giant within 5 working days with all details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help.
  • Any damages must be photographed on the pallet as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.
  • We will not accept any claims that have photos of goods not on the pallet as delivered as we cannot prove to the transporter that the damage was caused during transit.

We will not accept any liability for any consequential costs associated with late deliveries, failed deliveries or incorrect goods being delivered.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

Could you please advise on the best way to clean these tiles?
The tiles can be cleaned with a brush and warm soapy water. Or with pressure washer. Do not put the nozzle of the pressure washer closer than 300mm to the surface of the tile.
How much does an individual tile weigh?
4.8kg approx.
Could you confirm if these come with the plastic connectors?
The interlocking pins are included in the price.
Can they be trimmed to size?
Yes the tiles can be cut with a utility knife or jigsaw with fine toothed blade.
How do you secure it down?
The tiles can be bonded with XP 2435 PU adhesive.
Do these tiles float? We need to lay across a flat roof to provide a walkway and the area is often laying in water so we don't want them to float up and move about after heavy rain
No they do not float. The tiles will be okay in slight ponding but if you have issues with heavy ponding on your roof we would recommend fixing this issue first.
Would these tiles take the weight of garden furniture without denting?
Yes, but the legs of the furniture cannot be sharp. For example metal legs need a rubber stopper on the ends to stop them digging in.
When would I choose interlocking and when would I choose non interlocking tiles for my fibreglass roof?
For a roof application it is best to go with interlocking
Can I lay these on top of concrete slabs?
Yes you can
Do these come with interlocking pins and do you need adhesive to lay these?
The 30mm thick tiles come with pins, adhesive is only required for the outer rows of tiles where no edge restraint exists. Please see install guide for further information.
How do I install these please?
Please see the Laying Guide in the Technical information tab
Can these be cut into shape?
Yes that's possible, you would be best cutting curves with an electric jigsaw with a fine toothed blade
