How To Calculate Required Quantity

To calculate how many coping stones you need for your project, please work out the total length in metres of the wall that you are looking to cover. Please then divide the measurement by the length of your chosen coping stone. This will then give you the number of coping stones you require for your order.

Example: 6m (wall length) / 0.6m (coping stone length - 600mm) = 10 coping stones)

Colour & Storage Information

As these products are manufactured from natural, quarried materials there will be variations in colour in different batches. Please also note that the true final finish won’t be revealed until a period of exposure to sunlight and weathering. If you require a sample to confirm the colour please discuss with our sales team at sales@roofgiant.com or 01858 455055.

While stored on the pallet, these goods must be stored in dry conditions as per the warning label. The plastic wrapping around the pallet is not waterproof, meaning water cannot evaporate freely and efflorescence (markings) may occur.

Large Orders / Lead Times

If you are placing an order for a large number of coping stones, the lead times stated may be extended as the supplier will need to manufacture the products. A rough guide of quantities where this may happen can be found below, but please contact our sales office for exact times if required.

  • 450mm - Orders over 30 stones
  • 375mm - Orders over 60 stones
  • 300mm - Orders over 80 stones
  • 230mm - Orders over 80 stones
  • 175mm - Orders over 100 stones

What you need to know

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • Castle Composites coping stones are delivered on pallets with an 18 ton vehicle with tail lift. They are offloaded by the driver with a pump truck to the kerb, so we cannot deliver on gravel or mud. If you have a gravel drive the driver will only be able to leave goods at the closest hard surfaced area.
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions.
  • You must make our sales office aware of these restrictions or the delivery may fail. Smaller vehicles (7.5 ton) can be arranged as a special requirement please be aware this can cause delays as there are far fewer available and further charges may apply.
  • If you have a grass or gravel drive it will not be possible to leave the goods without someone being in attendance.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email, and your order will be delivered directly to you from Castle Composites. The driver will call ahead on the agreed delivery date if a mobile number has been provided however this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Delivery will arrive between 8.30am–5pm if you can’t be there to accept the delivery, it’s important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail. If the delivery is required at a certain time of the day an additional fee will apply.
  • Palletised orders will receive a text message to confirm the planned date of delivery where a valid UK mobile number has been provided. The text will also provide a barcode that can be used for tracking.

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery. A re-delivery charge of £59 + VAT per pallet will apply, chargeable by the supplier Castle Composites.
  • If you cannot be present it’s important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail.
  • If you have a gravel drive it will not be possible to leave the goods without someone being in attendance.

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • Contact Roof Giant within 24 - 48 hours with all details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help.
  • Any damages must be photographed on the pallet as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.
  • We will not accept any claims that have photos of goods not on the pallet as delivered as we cannot prove to the transporter that the damage was caused during transit.

We will not accept any liability for any consequential costs associated with late deliveries, failed deliveries or incorrect goods being delivered.
