Part of a Type E cavity wall moisture barrier system, the Universal Remedial Internal Angle from Cavity Trays is an equally handed internal angle for practical and convenient use. The Type E Cavity Tray is designed to prevent damp penetrating an original outside wall that has become an inside wall due to an extension, conservatory or similar construction being built. It also re-establishes damp control measures where an original DPC has failed.

All work can be completed from outside the building, and the inner skin of masonry won't need to be disrupted. In situations where the Type E is replacing a failed DPC, a flashing may not be required, depending on the application. 

The Type E Cavity Tray is a preformed DPC cavitray that is designed to be inserted into an existing cavity wall. The Type E only needs one course of bricks to be disrupted for successful installation, with just a few bricks removed at any time. The self-contained Type E cavitrays are two bricks long, and clip together, so long runs can be created fast and easily. Preformed angles cater for corners and piers and each unit has stand-alone discharge via a weep. Suitable for all popular cavity widths because the cavity upstand of the Type E is hinged and adjusts to always suit the ‘as-found’ cavity width.

Non-standard preformed cavity trays are available, Cavity Trays can design and manufacture bespoke requirements. Non-standard trays maybe required in areas of buildings where complicated junctions are encountered. Please contact Roof Giant with your drawings and quantity required.

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • Cavity Trays products are either delivered on third party couriers who deliver on 7.5T or 12T rigid vehicles. Deliveries to nearest accessible point no more than 10 metres from the vehicle. 
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email and your order will be delivered directly to you from Cavity Trays.  
  • Delivery will arrive between 8.30am–5pm Monday to Friday. 

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept and sign for the delivery.
  • If it fails delivery will automatically be put down for re-delivery the following working day. 

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • Contact Roof Giant within 3 days with all details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help.
  • Any damages must be photographed as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer NEXT DAY delivery?

We currently offer next day delivery on certain brands. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery is possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer FREE Delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on Weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Yes, we do but our transport charges incorporated in the site do not cover these areas, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours for costs; or we will contact you to make the additional payment once you have completed your online purchase.

REFUND POLICY

Returns

Important Note: Please do not send goods back to Roof Giant before speaking to the Roof Giant sales office. 

Roof Giant strongly recommend you take photographs of goods before returning. Occasionally goods are damaged during transit, therefore you may need to confirm the packaging/goods were intact (prior to collection) to the courier as part of the refund process.

As a consumer you have the right to change your mind (Consumer Regulations 2013). This right stipulates that for most products purchased online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund under the consumer contracts regulations 2013.

This right starts from the point you or someone you nominate receives the goods. If your goods are being delivered in multiple deliveries your right starts from the point the last delivery is received.

If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance contact us via phone 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com advising us of your wish to change your mind, its then your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to us within 14 days of ending the contract.
