Circular outlets are also manufactured with a smooth flange for bonding, adhesion or mechanical fixing.

Although not giving the “over and under” bond of the perforated range, these outlets can be secured into a circular drainage hole. The spigot is 240mm long and is inserted down inside of the HDPE drainpipe. This gives ample assurance that no water can back up behind the rubber and onto the deck. The spigot is slightly cone shaped and ribbed. This helps with installation into the hole, and prevents water passing back up behind the spigot.

Installation Waterproof the area around the drainage hole, insert the correct size of outlet connector into the hole so that it is covering the waterproof membrane and then secure the connector either by using fixings or adhesive.  Then prepare the area for another layer of waterproofing membrane so that the outlet connector is encapsulated in a “sandwich”. To ensure that the second coat of waterproofing bonds properly, the area should be primed. Here a patch of the same type of membrane is installed and adhered across the face of the outlet connector, completely covering the flange and bonding to both it and the first layer of waterproofing membrane beneath. By doing this the water cannot get behind any parts of the connector and enter the structure. Once the membrane / adhesive is cured a hole may need to be cut to reveal the drain pipe, and a leaf guard or gravel excluder is inserted into the hole. The outlet is then finished. Above is an example of the circular outlet with a smooth flange, where the surround is bonded to the waterproofing membrane.

Pedestals

What are the advantages of pedestals?

They are quick and easy to install, offer improved drainage, protect the surface underneath and can be lifted at any time for maintenance.

How do I install them?

The pedestals are placed on a flat, hard surface, with no mechanical fixings required. They need to be placed on a structured surface, and shouldn't be placed on non-compacted earth.

Do they need to be fastened?

No, the pedestals are part of a suspended system, with the weight of the slabs/decking holding everything in place.

Green Roof

What is a green roof / modular roof?

Sedum or other succulent plants are grown in low-level substrates. Modular systems are grown in sections and can be lifted into place and joined together.

Do they need maintenance?

The plants are very hardy, but watering in extreme conditions is recommended. Dead leaves and vegetation should be removed at regular intervals, and a slow-release fertiliser can be applied at certain periods throughout the year.

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries. 

Delivery access

  • Wallbarn access varies depending on the product type, all deliveries are made by Wallbarn/3rd part large HGV vehicles and couriers:

Wallbarn Parcels including pedestals and drainage outlets are packed into bags or boxes and delivered on a to-door service. 
Wallbarn Pallets are delivered to kerbside only. Wallbarn cannot bring vehicles or pallet trucks onto gravel or earth surfaces, the customer will need to make arrangements to move the materials from the hard surface onto there property.  
Wallbarn Double pallets including aluminium rails and decking materials are delivered on double length pallets and will be delivered to kerbside only. 
Wallbarn Green Roof – M-Tray® and associated green roof products are delivered on pallets to kerbside only. 

  • Wallbarn  cannot bring vehicles or pallet trucks onto gravel or earth surfaces, the customer will need to make arrangements to move the materials from the hard surface onto their property.  
  • You must make our sales office aware of these restrictions or the delivery may fail BEFORE Wallbarn attempt delivery.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email, and your order will be delivered directly to you from Wallbarn.
  • Delivery will arrive between 8.30-7.pm. 

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery.
  • All Wallbarn delivery charges are based on the customer being able to accept the goods. If the delivery is refused one additional delivery attempt will be made, then any subsequent attempts will be subject to additional charges. Please contact Roof Giant for more details.
  • Wallbarn cannot bring vehicles or pallet trucks onto gravel or earth surfaces, the customer will need to make arrangements to move the materials from the hard surface onto their property.  

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • Contact Roof Giant within 24-48 hours with full details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help. 
  • Orders signed for “unchecked” will be deemed to have been received in good condition with no guarantee of replacement or refund. As soon as the order has been delivered to your requested delivery address, the risk of any damage or loss passes to you.
  • Any damages must be photographed on the pallet as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

Delivery

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer NEXT DAY delivery?

We currently offer next day delivery on certain brands. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery is possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer FREE Delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on Weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Yes, we do but our transport charges incorporated in the site do not cover these areas, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours for costs; or we will contact you to make the additional payment once you have completed your online purchase.

REFUND POLICY

Returns

Important Note: Please do not send goods back to Roof Giant before speaking to the Roof Giant sales office. 

Roof Giant strongly recommend you take photographs of goods before returning. Occasionally goods are damaged during transit, therefore you may need to confirm the packaging/goods were intact (prior to collection) to the courier as part of the refund process.

As a consumer you have the right to change your mind (Consumer Regulations 2013). This right stipulates that for most products purchased online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund under the consumer contracts regulations 2013.

This right starts from the point you or someone you nominate receives the goods. If your goods are being delivered in multiple deliveries your right starts from the point the last delivery is received.

If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance contact us via phone 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com advising us of your wish to change your mind, its then your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to us within 14 days of ending the contract.
