What you need to know

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, the product will be held by our couriers, pending payment of redelivery costs. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • AWMS products are delivered by external couriers, which can be delivered on various types of vehicles depending on product ordered i.e. small vans, flat bed and curtain sided vehicles. No offloading facilities are available unless requested which will be chargeable at point of order.
  • You are expected to offload the product on delivery so please ensure you people on site and can do so in a timely manner.
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions as this may result in a delivery failure.
  • It will not be possible to leave the goods without someone being in attendance.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you two days after order placement and your order will be delivered directly to you from AWMS. The driver will endeavour to call ahead on the agreed delivery date if a mobile number has been provided however this cannot be guaranteed.  
  • Delivery will arrive anytime between 8.00am–5pm if you cannot be there to accept the delivery this will then be classed as a failed delivery. 

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery. If the delivery was due and you are not able to accept, you will be advised of a redelivery charge chargeable by AWMS. 
  • Once this charge has been paid in full AWMS will then re-deliver the goods and advise the new delivery date. If the delivery fails through what AWMS deem as an “act of nature” we will deliver at our cost and advise of a redelivery date.

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to Roof Giant and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • All damages and shortages must be reported to AWMS via Roof Giant within 7 working days. Reports outside of this timescale will be chargeable.
  • Any damages must be photographed on the pallet as delivered and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.
  • We will not accept any claims that have photos of goods not on the pallet as delivered as we cannot prove to the transporter that the damage was caused during transit.

Incorrect product delivered

  • If AWMS delivers a product that has not been ordered or is incorrect to our standard drawings, AWMS will replace at their own cost and will prioritise the replacements for delivery asap.

AWMS will not accept any liability for any consequential costs associated with late deliveries, failed deliveries or incorrect goods being delivered.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer NEXT DAY delivery?

We currently do not offer next day delivery but hope to offer this soon. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery if possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer FREE Delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on Weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Yes, we do but our transport charges incorporated in the site do not cover these areas, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours for costs; or we will contact you to make the additional payment once you have completed your online purchase.

REFUND POLICY

Returns

Important Note: Please do not send goods back to Roof Giant before speaking to the Roof Giant sales office. 

Roof Giant strongly recommend you take photographs of goods before returning. Occasionally goods are damaged during transit, therefore you may need to confirm the packaging/goods were intact (prior to collection) to the courier as part of the refund process.

As a consumer you have the right to change your mind (Consumer Regulations 2013). This right stipulates that for most products purchased online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund under the consumer contracts regulations 2013.

This right starts from the point you or someone you nominate receives the goods. If your goods are being delivered in multiple deliveries your right starts from the point the last delivery is received.

If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance contact us via phone 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com advising us of your wish to change your mind, its then your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to us within 14 days of ending the contract.
