Technical Details

The RedVent Eaves Ventilation System is suitable for use with all our tiles & slates and for any combination of rafter spacing between 350-600mm centres, subject to pack used. Where Eaves Clips are required it is acceptable to fix them through the Fascia Grille of the RedVent Eaves Ventilation System. The system is not suitable for use with Plain Tiles on roofs with rigid sarking.

Minimum pitch is the minimum pitch for the tile or slate with the following exceptions:

  • Cambrian 25 (55 when used with rigid sarking and counterbattens)
  • Regent 15
  • DuoPlain 32.5

Maximum pitch is:

  • 55 for Richmond 10, Saxon 10, MockBond Richmond 10 & Landmark Slate 10
  • 55 for Cambrian
  • 50 for Mini Stonewold
  • 60 for all Profiled tiles
  • 60 for Concrete Plain Tiles & Heathland
  • 57.5 for Rosemary Clay Tiles
  • 70 for DuoPlain

The RedVent Eaves Ventilation System is available in two pack sizes - for rafter centres from 350-450mm and 450-600mm.

  • Eaves Vent Tray (PVC black)
  • Fascia Grille (UPVC grey)
  • Nails (aluminium)

Each pack contains sufficient materials to cover:

  • 6.0m @ 450mm rafter centres (350-450 Pack)
  • 4.9m @ 350mm rafter centres (350-450 Pack)
  • 6.0m @ 600mm rafter centres (450-600 Pack)
  • 4.5m @ 450mm rafter centres (450-600 Pack)


  • The RedVent Eaves Ventilation System is designed to be fixed to a 19mm soft wood timber fascia board. Any increase in the fascia width or batten size from 50 x 25mm, may alter the required fascia board height. Fascia boards less than 19mm wide are not recommended.
  • The system is designed to be fixed to a straight and level fascia board from right to left.
  • The RedVent Eaves Ventilation System is not suitable for roofs with insulation between the rafters, as the ventilation requirement is 25,000mm2 per metre run of eaves. Please use the RedVent 25 Over-Fascia Vent.
  • Where the distance from the front of the fascia board to the top of the insulation, measured up the rafter, is greater than 450mm, an extension tray will be required, to ensure a clear path is maintained. Where this measurement exceeds 825mm, two trays will be required.
  • When used in combination with timber sarking, the sarking board should not extend below the lowest tiling batten position.
  • When used with exposed rafters, the tray should be protected with a recessed soffit board.


  • Suitable for use with most pitched roofing materials
  • Compatible with all of the Redland range of Eaves Clips
  • Where Eaves Clips or Eaves Comb are required for use with a particular tile profile, it is acceptable to fix them through the Fascia Grille of the RedVent EavesVent


How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer NEXT DAY delivery?

We currently do not offer next day delivery but hope to offer this soon. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery if possible.

Do you offer FREE Delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on Weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Yes, we do but our transport charges incorporated in the site do not cover these areas, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours for costs; or we will contact you to make the additional payment once you have completed your online purchase.

As a consumer you have the right to change your mind (Consumer Regulations 2013)

This right stipulates that for most products purchased online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund under the consumer contracts regulations 2013

This right starts from the point you or someone you nominate receives the goods

If your goods are being delivered in multiple deliveries your right starts from the point the last delivery is received

If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance contact us via phone 01858 455055, email or post Roof giant Ltd Holland House, Valley Way, Rockingham Road, Market Harborough, LE16 7PS advising us of your wish to change your mind, its then your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to us within 14 days of ending the contract. If you wish for us to arrange collection of the goods when you are responsible for the cost of return we will charge to you the direct cost of the collection.

If you are returning goods using your right to change your mind we will refund to you the price you paid for the goods including delivery costs

We reserve the right to make deductions from the refund of the price (excluding delivery costs) if we believe the product has been handled excessively or in a way that would not be permitted by the manufacturers instruction

With regards to the refund of delivery cost we are only able to refund any delivery cost at a basic rate so if you opted for an enhanced service such as next day guaranteed we will only refund at the basic rate

As exercising your right to change your mind your refund will be made within 14 days of the goods being returned

If your refund request is not within the terms above : 

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
