Product info

FOAMGLAS Perinsul HL Load Bearing Insulation Block is a unique, watertight and dimensionally-stable insulation solution that's capable of bearing the structural loads of a three-storey building while eliminating heat loss and reducing condensation. Suitable for installing into masonry walls, timber frame walls, door and window sills to reduce thermal/cold bridging while also minimising the risk of moisture-related problems such as rising damp and mould growth.

Manufactured using cellular glass with a bitumen/glass fleece and HDPE on the top and bottom faces, Perinsul HL Insulation Block is used primarily to eliminate structural thermal bridging. Thermal bridges (or cold bridges) can be responsible for up to 20% of heat loss from a building, so ensuring the continuity of the building’s thermal envelope is vital in order to eliminate ‘cold spots’, which can be the sources of condensation, damp and mould growth.

FOAMGLAS Benefits: Time-tested thermal performance, high compressive strength, resistant to pest attack, acid and chemicals, non-combustible, impervious to water, dimensionally stable, ecological and provides Radon protection. It is a unique, load-bearing insulation element, and has been tested in accordance with Eurocode 6 specifically to bear loads imposed by structural masonry.
