Day Aggregates Brown Rock Salt 1000kg (60 x 20kg Bags) is a trusted choice for de-icing and gritting purposes. With its higher friction properties, it is perfect for keeping paths, driveways and roads safe during icy conditions. This brown rock salt contains insoluble impurities, leaving behind some residue. Its natural brown colour ensures visibility when spreading, making it an effective choice for dispersing ice and snow and providing a non-slip surface.

Ideal for de-icing paths and roads, as well as gritting driveways and steps, this rock salt is treated with an anti-caking agent to maintain its quality. It includes sand and dirt particles for enhanced traction.

Please note that brown rock salt is highly corrosive and can cause staining.

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout. 
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries. 

Delivery access

  • Day Aggregates materials are delivered on various sized vehicles depending on quantities of bags and pallets, site access and offloading capabilities. Full site details will need to be confirmed at time of order before confirmation of vehicle is confirmed. 
  • These are examples of vehicles if the site required multiple bags, see below. However, if you order a pallet or one bulk bag delivery would most likely be on a sprinter or Luton/van type vehicle. 
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions. Also, any restrictions with regards to height and width, stable ground etc.
  • The delivery driver would normally unload unless the customer has a forklift on site which the customer can use.

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email and your order will be delivered directly to you from Day Aggregates.
  • Delivery will arrive between 8.30am–5pm if you can’t be there to accept the delivery, it’s important to leave a note for the driver with instructions where to leave the pallet or the delivery will fail. 

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery.
  • Failed delivery charges are dependent on the circumstances of your delivery. Charges will be confirmed if applicable/as required. 

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • Contact Roof Giant within 48 hours with all details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help.
  • Any damages must be photographed as delivered on the pallet and submitted along with your claim by email to sales@roofgiant.com.
  • We will not accept any claims that have photos of goods not on the pallet as delivered as we cannot prove to the transported that the damage was caused during transit.

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

Delivery

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days.We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer NEXT DAY delivery?

We currently do not offer next day delivery but hope to offer this soon. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery if possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer FREE Delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on Weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Yes, we do but our transport charges incorporated in the site do not cover these areas, please contact our sales team on 01858 455055 during office hours for costs; or we will contact you to make the additional payment once you have completed your online purchase.

REFUND POLICY

Returns

Important Note: Please do not send goods back to Roof Giant before speaking to the Roof Giant sales office. 

Roof Giant strongly recommend you take photographs of goods before returning. Occasionally goods are damaged during transit, therefore you may need to confirm the packaging/goods were intact (prior to collection) to the courier as part of the refund process.

As a consumer you have the right to change your mind (Consumer Regulations 2013). This right stipulates that for most products purchased online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund under the consumer contracts regulations 2013.

This right starts from the point you or someone you nominate receives the goods. If your goods are being delivered in multiple deliveries your right starts from the point the last delivery is received.

If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance contact us via phone 01858 455055 or email sales@roofgiant.com advising us of your wish to change your mind, its then your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to us within 14 days of ending the contract.
