VELUX Update - September 2021
VELUX are currently experiencing several short-term disruptions to their supply chain of raw materials necessary for production. There are also complications with their logistics partners impacting the reliability of deliveries. Unfortunately, this combination of factors has a significant impact on the delivery of VELUX products overall, and with a more severe impact in some cases. To manage the situation, VELUX have further increased the lead-time of new orders and some existing orders.

The construction industry continues to experience product shortages, price increases and delays to normal lead times since our last update. Various news outlets are suggesting there will be no improvement in 2021 therefore early planning/ordering of goods is a must in the current market conditions to ensure you have the goods in time for your own project. Should I arrange installation before receiving my order?
No, please wait until all of our order has arrived before booking your installation. While we make every effort to ensure orders are delivered by the date required, we cannot guarantee availability from the manufacturer or the manufacturer's delivery schedules.

VELUX Delivery Update
August 2021
Due to the UK-wide transport challenges and the effect of the 'pingdemic' on staffing levels in warehouses and distribution hubs, VELUX have made the decision to halt all UK deliveries from 10th August, with any orders placed after this date not due to be delivered until September 2021.
Orders are still being accepted and, once you've placed an order, VELUX will provide Roof Giant and yourself with an expected delivery date.

The construction industry continues to experience product shortages and delays to normal lead times. 2021 has been an extremely challenging year to date and the outlook unfortunately suggests these issues will remain for some time. There are various outlets where you can read industry updates, a couple of examples are below for reference:
Please note, not all Roof Giant deliveries are affected by extended lead times and product shortages in the market. There can also be delays in the courier and manufacturer network that are unfortunately out of our control. We will always endeavour to keep you updated on any delays that affect your order by email.
Roof Giant continues to work closely with our suppliers to ensure we have products available with realistic lead times and accurate pricing. We will endeavour to update lead times/prices but, due to the rate of change, it isn’t always possible to update on time. It may also take a little longer to reply to all enquiries due to the high demand we are experiencing.
