The Wallbarn Mega Balance Pedestal Clip Head For Rail Substructure System is a vital self-levelling pedestal headpiece component for use as part of a complete substructure system for laying slabs, porcelain tiles or decking onto podiums, flat roofs and terraces on terrace systems. Used in conjunction with Wallbarn aluminium profiled rails, this bespoke headpiece accessory clips onto aluminium profiled rail securely without the need for mechanical fixings. This clip head is also available in a huge height range (from 25mm to 1025mm), creating a smoother upper surface and superior finish to solve the issue of roofs, terraces and podiums that are built to fall for natural drainage.

The telescopic thread provides a large height range per unit, you simply twist the stem to adjust the height of the unit. This can be done with the slab, tile or decking joists still in place. 

Made from superior quality injection moulded polypropylene without fillers for long-term durability and performance, they have been laboratory tested at -40°C to +75°C and will not shatter in sub-zero temperatures. The plastic polymer is also non-hazardous and fully recyclable.

Mega Balance Clip Head Pedestals are part of an integrated system for installing decking without the need for mechanical fixings, offering lateral stability across the deck by reducing movement. In paving applications the additional Top Headpiece clips onto the upper ledges of the aluminium rail (fitted to the Mega Balance pedestal) to support and position paving slabs or paving tiles. This will give greater support to slabs or tiles and additional lateral strength across your terrace, podium or flat roof.

For Paving Applications

Shares the same advantages as rail system decking build-up above; but:

• Additional Top Headpiece clips onto the upper ledges of the aluminium rail (fitted to the Mega Balance pedestal) to support and position paving slabs / tiles
• The top headpiece has four positioning lugs to create uniform spacing and allows drainage between slabs / tiles
• The headpiece can be slid along the rail to match the dimensions of the tiles laid above
• The top headpiece is available with 2mm or 4mm wide lugs. All lugs are 10mm high
• Hazards such as outlets and vents on the subsurface can be avoided by simply moving the pedestals and the rails spanning the object
• Surface water drains through joints and into the cavity beneath to run into roof outlets between the pedestals
• A paved terrace finish can be achieved whilst benefiting from a secure substructure build-up
• Designed to give greater support to slabs / tiles and additional lateral strength across the terrace / podium / flat roof
• Rail clicks securely onto profiled rail – additional top headpiece clicks onto rail
• Top head can slide along the rail - tiles held securely in correct position
